Honestly, one of the reasons I loved this book and remember it till this day was because of the famous name "Tikki Tikki Tembo-no sa rembo-chari bari ruchi- pip -peri pembo," which means the 'most wonderful thing in the whole wide world.' I loved the way it would sound to say the name. Try it! Basically this story is a retold "old Chinese folktale on how the people of China came to give their children short names after traditionally giving their "first and honored" sons grand, long names." It's a cute story that I'm sure you'd love.
I love this one! How many of us remember waking up and having the worst day ever? That's why I love this book because many children can relate to it as anyone else. Alexander wakes up one morning with "gum in his hair, tripping over a skateboard and dropping his sweater in the sink while the water was running and he knew it was going to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day." The rest of his day couldn't get any worse that he just wants to move to Australia. It's a great book!
You know that warm fuzzy feeling you get sometimes? This is one of those books that gets you feeling all fuzzy inside. It's a very soothing book to read especially when you are reading to a young one who is about to go to bed. It goes through the story telling goodnight to everything in the room. A good....book....to make....you....want to ......fall...................asleep.................
Tell me who hasn't seen these Scary Story books?! It is filled with many spooky stories that usually 2nd-4th student would love to hear. They are chilling stories and especially with Stephen Gammell's illustrations. He has a collection of these Scary Stories so they keep on coming.Like, Yasmin had posted her favorite.... what are YOUR favorite children's book?
