fortunes & cookies

Yesterday I attending the Addy Awards, aka as the 'Oscars' of Graphic Design. Or something like that.. Some may disagree. I attended the local ceremony in El Paso, where the Gold winners get to represent El Paso nationally. My congratulations go to all that won. (One of the Gold winners being Joey Ponce for his website, who I had mentioned in an earlier post, scroll down). And of course, Andrew Campos (another winner) never ceases to amaze me with his conceptually amazing work. The part that all of us, designers, really enjoyed was the fortune inside each cookie. (The event was held at an elegant chinese restaurant. It was nice to see each fortune cookie filled with fortunes having to do with phrases we all encounter from clients. Gave me a chuckle.
